The Sandhurst Trust, was established in 2003 (then as the Sandhurst Foundation) to promote the improved understanding and development of leadership beyond the Academy. It was re-launched in 2014 with a focus on supporting the Academy and the serving and retired Army Officer community – through promoting esprit de corps, sustaining ethos and preserving heritage, promoting and promulgating the Army’s approach to leadership and the provision of welfare support.
Through a programme of ‘leadership encounters’ we introduce to the Academy alternative and complimentary perspectives on leadership, and provide opportunities for interaction between the Academy, its alumni and other leadership-focussed organisations. The events foster an enduring sense of belonging and connection among the Academy’s alumni (both UK and overseas).
Through conferences and other events we assist the Academy’s academic departments in reaching a wider audience and thereby enhance the Academy’s reputation as a centre of academic excellence it its fields. At the same time, through managing appropriate private and corporate use of the Academy’s facilities, we will generate income both to sustain the charity and provide welfare support to Officer Cadets and our alumni.
Advancing the education of serving members of the armed forces and of the general public in the fields of leadership and management and the training of effective managers and leaders in civil and military life.
The Trust's core support comes from: the Alumni of Sandhurst, both British and International Graduates, Regular and Reserve, Serving and Retired; and those with an interest in the promotion of leadership and management skills in both the military and civilian arenas.
The Trust, whilst located at Sandhurst, is independant of both Sandhurst and the Ministry of Defence and answers to its trustees under charity law.
The Sandhurst Trust provides assistance to Officer cadets during training.
The Sandhurst Trust also provides welfare grants to serving and retired army officers through partnership with the Officers' Association.

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Surrey is where all Officers in the British Army are trained to take on the responsibilities of leading soldiers.
Royal Military Academy SandhurstThe Royal Memorial Chapel Sandhurst, dedicated as Christ Church, is held in special affection by many who trained at the Royal Military College, latterly the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. The Chapel exists because the Academy exists; its primary focus is the spiritual well-being of the student body and those who serve them by training them.
Royal Memorial ChapelThe Sandhurst Collection exists to promote military tradition and ethos to the Officer Cadets and preserve the heritage of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. The Sandhurst Collection preserves and manages the archives of the academy.
Sandhurst CollectionThe OA supports Officers and their dependants in many ways, but it has consistently addressed, as a priority, helping officers find employment, providing advice and, in cases of need, financial support.
Officers' AssociationCobseo, as the Confederation of Service Charities, provides a single point of contact for interaction with Government, including local government and the Devolved Administrations; with the Royal Household; with the Private Sector; and, of course, with other members of the Armed Forces Community. This allows Cobseo members to interact with all interested parties and especially to cooperate and collaborate with others in order to provide the best possible level of support to our beneficiaries.
