Many thanks for your support and flexibility over the last couple of weeks.  We've had a brilliant time here and the Fellows have been hugely impressed by the setting and the people here at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Many thanks indeed for yesterday’s excellent reunion. It was a tremendous effort by you all, and a day that will stay fondly in our memories for a long time to come.

Thank you for all your efforts/support in organising Saturday’s 15 Pl reunion. it was an absolutely fantastic evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all who were there.

Thank you so much for helping to make the 1 Platoon Ypres Company SGC 913 30 Yr reunion a huge success. The day was literally perfect!

Thank you and to everyone involved in making Saturday’s reunion for our Cohort so memorable. It was amazing to reconnect with so many old friends - many of whom had not really seen one another since we left the Academy. Everyone I spoke with during and after has said how special the evening was - especially as we had so many of our Directing Staff with us (who fortunately resisted the urge to give us some warm-up drill!).
 

The members of The Arts Society Wokingham thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of the Academy and its contents and the expertise and enthusiasm of the guides led by Roy made it even more enjoyable. 

Just wanted to say we had such a lovely time on the tour last Thursday. Bernard and Mark were so knowledgeable and clearly enjoy sharing their experience of Sandhurst with us. 

I just wanted to say a huge "Thank you" from all of us at Abingdon CCF to the team for yesterday's superb, well organised and totally informative visit. The boys' were buzzing all of the way back to Abingdon.

We had a great time and my husband was thrilled with it.

We enjoyed a splendid dinner at Old College on Saturday night. It all ran beautifully and John looked after us brilliantly. The food was excellent and we are all so grateful to you and your team for organising it so well.

Such a fascinating place. What was particularly poignant for me was vising the chapel and seeing the names of officers who had been  Sandhurst cadets and lost their lives in battle. Of particular note was the female officer from the bomb disposal squad. I am pleased that the donation from SOM supports the cadets who have particular needs.

Really enjoyed my fascinating visit and tour yesterday. The drive from Nottingham was definitely worth it and would very much welcome details of the Commandant's Parade.
I was particularly interested in the history of the academy and how the selection process has evolved over the years while still maintaining the necessary high standards required.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit yesterday, a memorable afternoon. Everyone we met was most welcoming and we learned a great deal from our excellent guides. We would be very interested in receiving information about the Commandant’s Parade.

Last Thursday afternoon's visit hosted by John was literally superb. Thank you for a truly memorable time.

I would like to thank you and the whole team of the trust for for the great organization and Realisation of the tour in the RMAS. The whole group was very impressed and it was by far the highlight of the trip to the UK. I hope that we didn't disturb the processes in the academy too much.

The parade was awesome and inspirational and the tour was extremely interesting. The 3 guides, Roy, John and Dave were excellent, attentive and considerate. Their knowledge was fantastic and they all had a good sense of humour - they looked after and shepherded us around with skill and patience.

There is no doubt at all that we all had a wonderful time - difficult to find the words to describe the whole experience - certainly not something that is done everyday!

Our guides Bernard, Andrew, Brian and Lloyd were simply amazing and just so knowledgeable on everything and because they had all been to Sandhurst their enthusiasm shone through!

Again, thank you - we all had a great and memorable day.

Many thanks for arranging my tour of RMAS today, and particularly to my expert guide. It was an truly insightful visit and I’m greatly appreciative of the opportunity to have looked ‘behind the walls’ of the Institution.

Thank you for the organisation of the dinner on Saturday......please send my thanks to the Staff - they looked after us brilliantly and were very accommodating over our speeches and other matters which would have made it difficult to get the timing right.  It was a great occasion, and having it in Sandhurst was exactly the right venue for us and definitely got more people out than we would have done otherwise.  Looking forward to the 30th Anniversary already!

Thanks so much for everything that you did to support our reunion. It was a wonderful evening, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. They are still talking about it now on social media and asking when we are going to do it again.   I was really surprised at how incredibly nostalgic everyone became; our bonds were even tighter than I had thought......John and his team were outstanding....So many people commented on the lovely food, so in all, it was pretty perfect.

I just wanted to thank you for such a fabulous evening. We obviously all thoroughly enjoyed meeting up etc, but what made the evening really special was how well and professionally we were looked after - as well as how easy you made the whole process. The food and wine was genuinely superb, as was the service.

We were all most grateful for the entertaining and interesting tour which you arranged for us. We were spoilt to have Peter, Dick and Brian all looking after us as well. Please convey our appreciation to them for all they did. Everyone who I have spoken to was delighted with their day at Sandhurst.

A note to say a very big thank you for providing Ian and me with such an interesting, informative and amusing visit yesterday.  I know that Ian was absolutely thrilled with all the information you were able to provide and show him with regard to his military ancestry.

Just a note to thank you so much for all you did to make The Intake 41 reunion such a success, last week. You made the whole thing so easy, welcoming and comfortable. Everyone was delighted with the arrangements…..the coffee and drinks were just what was needed and I thought lunch was delicious and plentiful.

Thank you, and all your staff, for making Friday such a very special day for so many old fogies from Intake 31. It was hugely memorable day and so well organised that I fear a 60th follow up is inevitable! Thank you for working so hard on our behalf.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and the other Tour guides this morning for escorting The Canadian Army Cadets around Sandurst College. It was extremely good and pitched at just about the right level for the Cadets. I will add to my notes about making the visit for the afternoon next year.

Once again thank you for accommodating us at Sandhurst, I would also like to thank Hannah at the trust for organising everything.

Thank you so much for a very interesting and comprehensive tour yesterday.   Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit and I know that several have already promoted it to their friends. As one lady said, what a gem on our doorstep, and most people know so little about it and its history and global significance.

I write to thank you and your fellow officers/guides, John, Peter, Ian and Bernard for the splendid tour programme created and delivered with such expertise. Every consideration was given to our enjoyment and comfort. 

A number of participants have written to say how much they enjoyed the visit and I would like to share some of their comments with you.

- What a super day we had at Sandhurst - I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and I found the four guides so full of enthusiasm for their Academy, but the highlight for me was seeing that beautiful horse mount the steps, something none of us expected and probably will not see again 'live'!

-What a wonderful outing - so well arranged and interesting. We both enjoyed the content so much, we could guite happily have stayed longer. The guides were excellent.

-What a splendid day we had. It was so impressive and enjoyable, especially the parade and marching band. And what excellent guides we had too.

-As one would expect of Army Officers, the guides were courteous and expressed the information about the College in clear and concise terms, with some humour thrown in for good measure.

It was a truly inspiring day and I remain amazed by the vision of Colonel Marchant and how relevant his principles of leadership remain today. They were demonstrated by the smiling engaged young people who lined the corridor for us to slowly pass!  Such consideration is seldom seen on the streets of London!

So thanks to you and your team and of course Hannah McInally, we had a wonderful day!

Thank you very much for everything you organised last Saturday.  It was for all of us a magical trip down memory lane, amusing and slightly surreal.  A wonderful opportunity to revisit a few old haunts.

Your organisation was superb.  Not only did everyone know where to be, but when they arrived, everything happened like clockwork as well.  The staff did a great job for the dinner, and afterwards in the bar!

Thank you so much for an excellent visit, you and your team ran everything like clockwork and worked round the change of programme seamlessly.  Everyone was most impressed with the whole setup.  Several people said they weren't sure if they would enjoy it but found it riveting, the size of the buildings, the whole site and the grounds and the paintings and the ethos behind it all and we all enjoyed the guides history of RMAS and his encyclopaedic knowledge of military history.

The Memorial Chapel was particularly moving and the peace and tranquility of the RC chapel impressed many others but I think the pictures by Anna Redwood were one of the most popular rooms, the thought behind them impressed everyone.  Your talk about the training  of the cadets was great and brought home the real reason for the existence of Sandhurst and left us feeling that it was truly a unique place.  

It was a fantastic visit enjoyed by everyone who came.

I must thank you and your staff for all your efforts in making the Reunion such a great success. It was obvious from the appreciative comments received on the day that all those attending much enjoyed the occasion and especially the grandeur of the location, and the good fortune of the weather.

We had a wonderful day at Sandhurst yesterday and I have received many messages thanking me for organising this special day on behalf of our Club. 

I really do appreciate all your help and advice in advance of our trip, which has been most helpful and professional from my initial enquiry through to the day of the event; made my role much easier when liaising with my colleagues!

We were also very impressed with your excellent guides, Tony and David, who have incredible knowledge of Sandhurst and gave us so many interesting facts.

On behalf of our group I would like to thank both Bernard and Andrew for looking after our group yesterday and for giving us such an interesting and informative tour.  Having both served as Army Officers yourselves you talked with knowledge and true understanding of what is involved.  I have had many emails from our group members to say how much they enjoyed the day finding it both interesting and impressive. It is a reminder to us all of the responsibilities and risks that these young men and women take on to serve our country.

Thank you so much for Saturday night. We had such a brilliant evening, it couldn’t have gone better. Thank you and your team for everything that you have done. 

We had a wonderful day on Monday which was enjoyed by all of us.  The inclusion of the Ice Maidens was a bonus -  thank you! What an achievement.  

Your guides were wonderful: knowledgeable, good humoured and able to answer all our questions. 

Thank you also for all your help and kindness in setting this visit up. It was a pleasure doing business with Sandhurst; the National Trust and Royal Palaces could certainly learn a thing or two!

On behalf of all members on the trip, I simply want to thank the guides for providing us with an excellent tour on Thursday.  Although I had only been along six months previously I still found it extremely interesting and from the many comments I received on the return journey and subsequently by email it was thoroughly enjoyed by those members of Cranleigh U3A who took part in the outing.

We had a hugely successful evening with both our platoon staff present and guys who travelled from UAE, Bahrain and South Africa to get there. It could not, of course, happened without the fantastic support and assistance fro the RMAS Trust that has been absolutely first class from the outset.  I cannot thank you enough for all the help we have had from the Trust in general and you in particular.  As I have been largely organizing this event from overseas the assistance has been invaluable.  If you are able to, could you also pass on our thanks to the excellent mess staff team who were on duty that night.  Again, they were fantastic and ensured we had a thoroughly good time.

It was a remarkable evening. While there were no tears, the sense of joy and emotion was palpable. It was tremendous to have General Paul and so many former DS with us. The chefs and staff were, as ever, Michelin star.  We are all extremely grateful for the Trust's efforts which is overall a brilliant initiative. Thanks again,

Thank you to John and his team so much for such a wonderful day at Sandhurst. I am still getting emails of thanks which doesn't usually happen in such high numbers. Everyone enjoyed the visit very much and we found it very educational in a way that contained quite a lot of humour and very clear speaking.

Following Arford W.I.s monthly meeting members would like to thank Andrew Lawrence and fellow guides for the interesting afternoon we spent at Sandhurst. We were made to feel most welcome and learnt such a lot about how Sandhurst operates. 

Thank you for helping organise such a great reunion. It was a success and all those present has a wonderful time. The food, wine and staff were top notch and made the day.

Everything ran smoothly, food great, staff were lovely and we had a special time with ex students back from Australia, Jamaica, Singapore and Austria. Thank you for everything.

We hugely benefited from having the guides giving up all their time to educate us on the great institution that is the RMA. We were so lucky to be visiting in term time, seeing the cadets going about their training as we came by either in our cars or on walking around. We just are totally unaware of the modern significance of the RMA and its contribution that protects us all today in our ever changing world .

More importantly this would have been wasted without the four guides giving their own hugely in-depth insights from their own experiences but significantly the roll of the college in the past 200 years and how it evolved and why.

The chapels were indeed memorable but again the guides insight into the value of religion and the role of the pastors is, I suspect, forgotten in most narratives.

We are all delighted to donate to the charity confident that a good home will be found for our donation.

THANK YOU for looking after us so well and for a very memorable day indeed.

Very many thanks for giving the Crawley Group such a splendid day at Sandhurst. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with you,  not surprising with such excellent guides and such a beautiful iconic venue. We will most definitely recommend a visit to other members of the Crawley U3A.

I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to you and the extended team of Bernard Allen and David Wilson for organising and hosting our visit and tour of the RMA yesterday. I can say without contradiction that every one of our members and their guests had a very memorable and enjoyable time.

Very many thanks to the tour guides for making today such an interesting visit. Everyone enjoyed it and I was still answering questions on the way back. Thanks to Hannah and her team and to Tony and Bernard. Next visit will probably be to a Commandant's Parade!

Just wanted to say how much the Ladies of Radstock WI enjoyed their visit this morning. We had two most informative and knowledgeable guides which brought the history to life.  We all thoroughly enjoyed it, even the weather was kind to us! Lunch was the perfect way to finish our tour. I shall certainly recommend the tour to my other groups.

A big thank you for making our trip to RMAS so memorable. Your passion is infectious and, as you probably sensed, we could have stayed on for a lot longer had time allowed. Please also convey our thanks to Peter, David and Charles who each, in their own way, added to the day. We shall certainly view RMA Sandhurst in a new light in future. Thanks to you all.

Thank you to everyone involved in our visit yesterday especially the guides, who were very knowledgeable and made it all so interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and appreciated all your efforts. Thank you also to the catering staff for the well organised refreshments and lunch.

I didn’t fully convey the groups thanks and appreciation to both Tony and Charles for their excellent tour. I have had numerous emails from colleagues who have all said how much they enjoyed the tour and how satisfied and grateful they are to Tony and Charles for making them feel welcome and for the information they both provided about the history and present functioning of Sandhurst. I don’t think any of us fully appreciated the role that Sandhurst has played and still engages in the processing of Military Officers. Tony and Charles were able to convey the pride they both feel for having been there as serving soldiers and still feel as part of the Sandhurst Trust.

We appreciate, as fellow tour guides, how difficult it can be to maintain momentum and interest over a couple of hours and both of them did this perfectly and engaged and involved the group throughout.

Thanks for everything with the reunion, it went really well. I think we severely depleted the red wine stock in the bar as well....! The food was excellent by the way, particularly the main course. Great evening!

Our thanks must also go to you and Charles for such an interesting and informative day! We had our monthly U3A meeting this afternoon and people are still talking about the day!

It was a poignant day for some, a day of memories for others but what clearly shone through was the pride that you and Charles have in Sandhurst.

Just a short note of sincere thanks for the help in setting up our reunion on Saturday.  It went perfectly and was a superb night.  All of the administration was spot on, the food was excellent, the room was perfect and there was plenty of wine!  It’s a really good way of doing a reunion.  

I would like to say an enormous thank you on behalf of The Kew Society for the wonderful tour you gave us of The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.  The Commandant's Parade was an absolute treat - so impressive and we all felt deeply honoured to be able to watch this military display.  As a Kew Gardens guide, I completely understand the hard work and commitment needed behind the scenes to ensure visitors have an interesting, informative and enjoyable day.  You gave us all that, and more - so many many thanks.

Thank you for providing us with such a fantastic day.  It is important for us to stay connected both with one another and also the Academy and its current generations of cadets.  You certainly managed to do that.

I attended the WRAC 863 reunion yesterday evening and I just wanted to say what a wonderful evening it was.  Please could you pass on my thanks to all the staff who were working last night, they were extremely helpful, cheerful & very diligent and the food was excellent.

May I thank you for providing our tour with such excellent stories both on the old and modern history of Sandhurst Military Academy, I received nothing but praise for organising such a good event and that is all down to you both as acting as our guides and talking about the Academy.
Each time I visit as the organiser, I learn more and of great interest and I was so glad to have one of our group who had passed through so many years ago. And thank you Tony for leading him up the famous steps. It made us all cheer when you did that.

I am truly grateful to the Trust for helping so positively to ensure that this memorable  event in our lives passed off so well.  Please pass on my thanks to all the Staff both Front of House and Backroom Kitchen staff (what a lovely group of Ladies they are) for their kindness, help and positive approach to Intake 36's 50th Anniversary.

Just a quick note to say a huge thank you for all your help with my group's visit to Sandhurst on Weds 5th August.    We had a wonderful visit, helped hugely by the brilliant, informative guiding of both Graham and John.

The lunch was excellent and worked well in the Lords Room - I think there was enough food to feed an army!!

On behalf of all the participants of the Victory College reunion last week, I want to thank you most sincerely for your help and support in getting this event off the ground.  When we met for the first time a year ago I could never have envisaged things working out so well! 

Many thanks for all the arrangements which you made for our Reunion yesterday. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the whole event went very smoothly for us. Good food and wine and a very nice team serving us. The Chapel service set exactly the right tone for the day and the Cadets (particularly the girls!) were very smart on parade. I spoke to one or two afterwards and they were amused to see so many of us too

The Lightwater WI would like to thank you for organising for us to attend The Commandant's Parade. It was a wonderful morning and the sheer spectacle of the precision of the officer cadets was truly impressive. Lightwater WI applauds all of them and it was a privilege for us to attend such a prestigious event. The cherry on the cake was when the Commandant mentioned Lightwater Women's Institute in his speech. That was totally unexpected and a wonderful surprise! 

Thank you very much indeed for all your help in organising our visit yesterday.    You must have a huge job organising everything, and I am full of admiration at how smoothly everything went.

My group thoroughly enjoyed the day.  Many of them had little idea of what to expect and everyone was delighted with the day as it progressed.   It would be nice to come back for just the tour and spend more time on the detail.  

The sandwich lunch was considered just the right thing for the day and many people commented to me how very nice, fresh and inviting it was.
