New partnership with the Officers' Association

10 December 2015

There is now a partnering agreement in place between the Officers' Association and Sandhurst Trust

The Sandhurst Trust is now in a position to provide money for benevolence through the Officer's Assocation.

The money provided will be for:

  • Serving or retired Army Officers only
  • For tangible benefits such as disability and motability aids, clothing, white goods, car repairs, household maintenance.

So far we have provided £4000 and will review this arrangement on a termly basis.

The grant will be issued each term and is to be spent on the welfare of serving and retired officers, as assessed by the OAs team of welfare assessors. The Sandhurst Trust funds helped seven officers, male and female with an age span from 28 to 88. Assistance ranged from a computer for an officer left permanently disabled after a road traffic accident, to carpets for an elderly gentleman living in sheltered accommodation.
